That is quite a list for one year! I would love to know your plans for year 2. I know it would be difficult to choose, but which was your most favorite experience of these?

I think we'd choose for The Mongol Rally then. The whole experience was just awesome, we did a lot of cool things that most people will never get to do in their lives. And traveling through Central Asia and Mongolia in an old Lada was special and fun!

You seem to have packed so much into a year! Amazing. I love that you went to a Vietnamese wedding. I just got back from a wedding part in a small village in Vietnam a couple of hours ago... and it was definitely a travel highlight for me.

Wow you did that in one year!? What a great adventure! Especially the Mongol rally! Something I wish to do...seeing that part of the world! We have been travelling a lot ourself. My husband 1 year in south america. Then we together 6 month in SEA. And our latest around the world 15 month. Our next trip is next spring and its our biggest so far. We are leaving with our now 2 years old daughter and hopefully fle atleast 3 years. Travel is like drugs. Once you get it into your system you just need more and more and on higher dose!?

Wow, you guys must have got a lot of cool experiences over the years as well! We hope that everything goes well with your next big trip with your daughter! It's awesome that you inspire the next generation to travel that much. :D

Yes to bathing in a hot spring, but some of your awesome things are way out for me. The trip in the Lada for instance, I'd be freaking the whole way!

Extending your limits is also a part of traveling I guess, so if you ever get a crazy opportunity, just take the leap and go for it! :D

What an awesome list! I haven't done many here, but you've made me intrigued to do so. The one I have done is explore hidden parts of the Great Wall of China. It was absolutely thrilling! I went back a later year and did the more touristy sections, and though it was still remarkable, it wasn't the same as that first hidden visit!

I can imagine that... We are so happy that we could witness this beautiful piece of architecture on that place and not with thousands of tourists and vendors around us.

You certainly had an EPIC year and I loved all your adventures...especially the Mongol rally. Looking inside a volcano also looks super fun :)

The Mongol Rally was really fun! We even might do it again in the future to do other stuff along the way too :)

Wow, you've had so many adventures, and all over the place! I can't even imagine what it was like to camp near that volcano. Or to trek through Turkmenistan. So great that you've gotten to have these experiences.

Thanks Laura! We are of course very grateful that we were able to do all this.

Wow what a year but holy that fire crater! I kept scrolling back up to that picture. So interesting!
